Beercook in the news, radio, and cooking classes
Read my letter to the editor of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, and a misleading logo for their series about social ills in Wisconsin - scroll to the bottom of the page
On July 4, 2008, I brought Wisconsin craft beer and barbecue to the WUWM Lake Effect radio show in Milwaukee - and hope to visit them again!
In March 2008, I was the guest of Clipper City Brewing Co. and Chef Ian Morrison at the Royal Mile Pub in Wheaton, MD - the chef was recently written up in the Washington Post City Guide - a terrific review and Editor's Pick!
Listen to Craft Beer Radio's coverage of a special chocolate and beer tasting I conducted with the help of local pastry chef, Adrienne Lee, at the Great American Beer Festival. The tasting featured recipes from the new cookbook with samples of Kona Brewing Co.'s Pipeline Porter, Rogue Ales Chocolate Stout and New Glarus Brewing Co's Wisconsin Belgian Red Cherry Ale and the Bourbon Barrel Bock from brewer Dan Carey's "Unplugged" series.
Here are archived radio shows...
On July 3, D.C. Public Radio WAMU's talk show host Kojo Nnamdi featured "the beers of summer" - link http://wamu.org/programs/kn/07/07/03.php#16573
American beer used to be a punchline. But today, thousands of small breweries are creating innovative new brews, exploring new flavors and culinary possibilities. Kojo speaks with local and national beer aficionados about the state of American brewing, and the perfect pairing for a 4th of July cook-out.
