Oshkosh
celebrates American Beer Month
It
was a gorgeous, hot day in July for the Brews and Blues Fest, the
6th annual Oshkosh Jaycees charitable microbrew festival.
Organized with help from the Society of Oshkosh Brewers, a homebrew
club.
Several patrons kept cool by the banks of the Fox River...with the
ducks.
Below,
Art Lies of Nicolet Brewing in Florence, keeps
cool under a green felt Tyrol hat.
The
Classic Pilsner, Maibock and Dark Pilsner were featured at the fest.
The
handcarved taps of Central Waters Brewing, pictured at right, deserve
recognition for looking just like the real decoy.
Central
Waters featured the Mudpuppy Porter, Lac duBay IPA, and White Water
Weizen.
Mike
Bieser, below, was one of the parters in the Milwaukee Ale House and
traveled north to Oshkosh to pour beer for five hours.
He's
been coming to this fest for five years now..."it's one of my
favorites," Bieser says. "You're right by the water, and
the blues are great..."
